I have around 20 different gates. At london stansed I rent now 5 gates, so I can open a Hub. but what is a hub and is it good for me ( i am a small airline with around 30 airplanes)?

A hub allows for connecting passengers (i.e. you can now sell tickets DUB-STN-FRA). With a hub you can have 15 gates, and you can also build a terminal with however many gates you want.
I would suggest you open an STN hub.
