Hey, great read! I like how you've organized the airline facts.

I feel like I've got a huge target on my back though as I operate a YVR-based airline with hubs in Ottawa & Montreal. Nevertheless, a little competition never hurt anyone. Good luck with all your airlines. I'll be watching for future updates.

Thanks!

I've been operating TransCanadian for a while now, and I think I've already encountered your airline - BC connection right?
And you're right, the game would be boring without competition! :)

---OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE---
LONDON, Jan 10, 2003

British Sovereign Airways and TransCanadian Airlines are proud to announce a new and very special partnership.
Due to new political restrictions, it is not possible for British Sovereign Airways to operate its popular services between London and Australia and New Zeland via South East Asia.

In order to continue to provide the service, British Sovereign Airways has turned to its partners within the Sovereign Airways Group. Following an initial period of trial flights, TransCanadian Airlines has signed a contract to fly between London and Sydney, via the Southern Cross route with a stopover in Vancouver, using a dedicated fleet of eight brand new Airbus A340-600s. British Sovereign Airways will have first rights to sell 80% of the seats, while TransCanadian will sell 20% and any further unoccupied seats within the British Sovereign quota.

Flights depart from London's Heathrow Airport at 17.00 (local / GMT) each day. The flight crosses the North East Atlantic, overflying the Arctic territories of Iceland and Greenland and the Northern Canadian tundra. A hot dinner is served soon after departure and complimentary snacks and drinks are available throughout the flight. A second lighter meal is available prior to descent. Descent begins over the Canadian Rocky Mountains, before arriving at Vancouver International Airport at 18.45 (local) (02.45 GMT, London departure date +1 day).

All passengers must disembark the aircraft at this point, whilst the aircraft is cleaned, restocked and refuelled. A specially adapted gate is set aside at Vancouver for these flights. Passengers travelling onto Sydney must remain at the gate to avoid the need to legally enter Canada. A bar serving complimentary drinks and snacks is available to transit passengers at this gate. Staff from the Australian Consulate in Vancouver will meet each passenger and check their visas and documentation here. This pre-clearance allows the flight to arrive into Sydney as a domestic flight, therefore eliminating the need to meet Australian Border staff at Sydney, thus saving time.

At 21.00 (local) (05.00 GMT, London departure date +1 day), the aircraft will depart for Sydney. An evening meal is served and snacks and drinks are available on request. Cabin crew will dim the lights on this leg to allow those passengers who wish to sleep to do so. Prior to the aircraft's descent a hot breakfast will be served, and the flight will arrive at Sydney's Kingsford Smith airport at 07.05 (local, London departure date +2 days) (21.05 GMT, London departure date +1 day). Total duration from departing London to arriving at Sydney is 28 hours and 05 minutes.

Due to the length of these flights, our aircraft cabins are the most comfortable in the fleet, our staff the most experienced, and only premium food and drink is provided. We look forward to flying with you soon!

---OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE---
Nairobi, Apr 21, 2005

Kenya Airways is proud to announce that it has placed an order for 12 Airbus A330-200 aircraft in order to begin long haul flights.
This will make the start of our first flights outside of Africa and the Middle East, and is a proud moment in Kenyan history.

Although no official schedule has been announced, the airline seeks to open flights into London, Paris, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Zurich, Hong Kong and Bombay. These new routes, as well as our code-share flights to the United States with America East, marks a new era for Kenyan air travel. New long-haul destinations have been specifically chosen to guarantee the best onward connections to the rest of the world.

To mark this occasion, Kenya Airways has unveiled a new livery, which the new A330 aircraft will sport. A programme of repainting and refurbishing the old aircraft in the fleet will also begin.

Fly amongst friends with Kenya Airways!

Sounds interesting. I was considering opening an LGW-SLC-SYD/BNE/MEL route. Since we're partners, that wouldn't be classified as competition would it?

As long as it starts at LGW, that should be fine.

Ok thanks! It's a 5x weekly service LGW-SLC-SYD with a B777-300ER. I'll post that in my press release.
