To add an element of realism, I have an idea. I believe IRL, manufacturers produce one type of plane on one assembly line, not multiple models on the same line. If I'm wrong, delete the thread. This leads to separate queues for each model. I know this will severely increase the number of aircraft queues, but it would help increase delivery rates. Perhaps this would be good for AE V3?

I believe different planes are on different assembly lines. For example, the Boeing 747 and 777 are on 2 different assembly lines. However, the 777-200 and 777-300 are on the same assembly line (read a book that said that). So that's a good idea. Seems, though, that it could require a reset.

There are some integral reasons why this will be difficult, and we've wanted to do this for a while. Unfortunately there's a long list...

Well would it be something like this:

A:

A300/A310= 2 per month + 10% backlog
A318/A319/A320/A321= 20 per month +15% of backlog
A330/A340=10 per month + 10% of backlog
A380= 2 per month + 10% of backlog


Something similar could be worked out for other lines
