In business, you can do whatever you want IRL, same should it be here.

I'm obviously in the minority (or pehaps alone), and I accept that, but I don't agree with a lot of the premises here. In real life you could offer your assets for less than you could get for them, BUT YOU WOULDN'T, becasue the money was real. (you might have asset fire sales, but that would only becaseu you needed the money imidiately)

As I said above, my opinion is obvisouly not that of the majority, and if most AE p[layers are OK with everyone doing this, then thats the way it is. I simply don't undersatnd how this is any diffrent in practical terms then gaining from a feeder airline.

I understand your point, but there's nothing stopping you in real life from selling your planes for $1. Yes, you lose money, and yes, you'd be called an idiot, but IRL it can happen. Plus since we're unable to work cash deals for other things, say gates rights, the ability to sell planes for half price make sup for it. Just my 2 cents, I'm here all week, try the veal. :P

It is pretty different.

From a Feeder point of view, it means you run 2 or more airlines. So, you feed your own airlines.

From a NON Feeder point of view, you just get airplanes from an unknown airline to you.
Why are they selling their airplanes at 50% market value, with all respect, I don't care, is their decision to do so.

It all depends on how you look at the issue. The problem I have with cheating is that it un-levels the playing field. If a player quits te game and sells their aircraft for below market value (NOT stated accounting value) to a friend or alliance member then the recpient gains the same advtanage as they would have if they used a feeder airline.

[BTW, feeder airlines are not always owned by he player who recieves aircraft. Some times it is a player who want to help out a friend. Sometimes two airlines will start a set of feeder airliens and feed the other persons airline to get around te IP block]

On this IP workaround, I'm complety in agreement with you.

I don't see any solutions but to eliminate the problem from the root (if appliable): no selling under market value.

A good thing would be an automated bid system instead of the actual used market. But maybe this will require a bunch of programming.

Valid point, however businesses in real life do often sell equipment and licenses to partner companies for reduced prices, to maintain friendship, prevent competition, stifle a joint rival, etc. Do you think if American wanted to sell a plane, and American Eagle could use it, would American sell it to United because they could get more money? Same goes for JAL and JMB, NWA and KLM, Continental and Frontier, even AA and BA had a relationship like thia at one point.

Let's keep the game as realistic as possible.

The way I see it, this is supposed to be a airline simulator , in the real world what you know always takes a back seat to who you know. If you know a ceo of a airline, play golf with them or w/e, and that ceo happens to want to shut down his business to persue other matters, you have a much better chance at aquiring that airlines assets (read planes) than a higher paying complete stranger. That's the way life works, in fact some people make a career out of this, we call them "politicians. :o " Switching back to this game, it seems that this situation has played out in one of the ways it would in R/L, so it should be allowed as it helps the game become a more complete simulation.
