Strike

I have seen in the code miller prepared a "strike-feature". My question: Do we want such an feature?
If yes:
- What are the conditions for a strike?
- How long should a strike take? In this time the aircrafts won't produce any revenues?
- Should this be an "all companys" strike? Or limited to single aircrafts?
Bye,
Tobias

Used market - Once a Year (AE Year) place in (Sorry, Used market CLOSED - Due to Salesmen on Strike)
New Aircraft - Once a (AE Year) pick a manufacture and Strike the staff for deliveries for that month, all deliveried will resume once (Strike Action is over)
Once a (AE Year) do an area, like (Europe) Sorry, all ATC are on strike so this will be a No-Fly-Zone till further notice.
The possible ways of using (Strike) is endless.
ps: Glennos will love this (Strike format) Janice thinks NOT

how about airlines can randomly have pilots/FA's go on strike? or airports have baggage handlers and ground operations personnel go on strike and it increases the turn around time of airplanes significantly?

If these strikes are implmented now we are talkin'.....who could get the biggest slice of the entire empire...hahahaa

weather would be nice... but i think that would be difficult to employ.. and you wouldn't be able to get 4400 / 4450 nm range because flights wouldn't be direct
Then that would lead to another suggestion/add-on...the technical/fuel stop.
This works just like in the real world you just lease landing/take-off rights from an airport that's along your intended route.
No need for you to rent gates and that also mean you can't pick-up/drop-off pax. So it would be fair for everyone. What do you think?

Sorry but if it's not fixed soon I will go on strike ;-)
It's exactly the same where I work, the custoemrs are screaming about certain bugs and the developers are spending time talking about new features they can add .... I know there has to be new features but the LF script is the very basis of the game. With a non working LF script you can throw the game into the bin.
Sorry but it's really frustrating me that after 5 years it's still not working.

So the last week the routeserver was using the wrong script (which is corrected now), with this the following bugs are fixed:
- Multiple frequency had never ever better profits than a single roundtrip
- Projected revenues and calculated one were very different
- Manual priced routes were corrected in pricing by the system
These are the main issues and they are fixed (but yeah, you have to set your manual prices again - but they won't be touched any longer by the server).
All other issues related too "hey a route between x and y brings now profit, and between a and b it's too much" I won't fix. Why? It's simple: David is implementing a fully new load script, it's in beta as you know. With this in mind I won't invest much time to tweak the old script - this makes no sense if you throw away the old script in few weeks.
To come back to topic: I just a saw code that there disabled for a strike-feature. I just want to check if such a feature is a wish of the users and if I should add it to the "upcoming"-list or if I can remove the code
Keep in mind: If I ask "whats about a feature xy?" doesn't mean "hey folks, integrating this soon" - I want to get a feedback if I should invest time in such a feature later or not. Just want to sort out things (and in the current case: I just scanning the code right now to clean it up and remove unused parts).

Uhm, the lf-bugs are fixed now, aren't they?
So the last week the routeserver was using the wrong script (which is corrected now), with this the following bugs are fixed:
- Multiple frequency had never ever better profits than a single roundtrip
- Projected revenues and calculated one were very different
- Manual priced routes were corrected in pricing by the system
(I can see a vast difference, the ticket prices of a lot of routes has jumped however there is a lot of difference in my routes, the LF issue is back to where it was before moving the server, you adjust a route, it shows numbers, you log in 1/2 hour later and the DOP you had and routes are all back to below par, however, this is I guess a true reading, where the 100% LF factor was annoying.)
(Will try the returns now that this is back on the one server and as you state the script is back)
To come back to topic: I just a saw code that there disabled for a strike-feature. I just want to check if such a feature is a wish of the users and if I should add it to the "upcoming"-list or if I can remove the code
(This game is all about Airline management, all airlines have at some point of another (Industrial Disputes) from the ground staff at airports through to aircraft cleaners, why not make the game more interesting and introdue this, however, lets get the BUGS of the LF sorted 1st, then a lot of players will be happy.)

Running an airline isn't like that. If that would've been the case..god bless us all. Thousands of airlines to choose from but no...that is not the reality.
Thus we need a strike feature and this would also appease the anarchists and socialists among us....lol no pun intended...

Sorry, cant agree and to show one example out of some 90 routes I have like this :
As it is NOW
LHR-DUS311.211$1,245.0050.5062%$122,844.00
Then I adjust:
Ticket Price automatically set at: $1,196.04
O & D Load Factor: %100.00
Connecting Load Factor: %0.00
Projected Revenue: $238,770
Projected Expense: $15,870
Projected Profit: $222,900
Now ticket price dropped down (Thats ok) there is no connecting load as there should be the profit will be $222,900 fine I am happy with that.
Now let's set it:
LHR - DUS 312 1 49.72% $1,249 $121,092
The LF script is not back to where it was.....sorry.

Well it seems as if everyone here has grown ungrateful. Thank our developers for Volunteering their time and helping us out. Be glad that something is actually happening and the gears of development are in motion. I don't know much about programing and coding but I do know that it takes time and you must be patient.
It's nothing to do with being ungrateful. I along with some other have been here alot longer than you have so our level of expectations are probably a bit higher .
I'm and not gonna sit here and praise the developers for every single line of code they implement , a thanks now and again is enough. I am just raising my concerns as a player of 5 years.....
You don't have to me about programming and testing, I do that for my work. Programming RPG on IBM iSeries and now tech consultant so I do know what is involved believe me.
Now can we please get back ontopic!

Try logging out completely for about 5 to 10 minutes or so then log in back...this is how I was told by one player when I was raising this concern. All my routes are doing well. If a warning comes out but am still doing well I wouldn't change it only if I could see that am gonna be making more then I edit it and adjust...

Yes, Alright thats understandable, being here longer raises expectation, thank for explaining. Strikes would be interesting but I think it would over complicate things unnecessary.
