Airlines should only to be able to buy so many slots like in the real world.
Are you talking about building or leasing. If it is leasing, there is a limit in place. 5 gates if it is not a hub and 15 gates if it is a hub. Airlines can build a terminal which does take time to make back what you spent on the terminal so I think it is a reasonable set-up just the way it is. Also, once an airline builds a terminal, they are not allowed to lease gates from that airport...only build onto their terminal.

Hi,
still on To-Do-List is a limit for terminals at an airport. For example, in Frankfurt there should be a limit of say 3 or 5 airline-owned terminals. So having there something around 10 or 15 terminals is not realistic.
Together with the introduction of this feature it should be possible to lease gates at terminals from other users - but we have to make it safe (prevent cheating), so stay tuned, it's just an idea
Bye,
Tobias
