Can someone please explain the advantage of opening a hub. I just opened a hub thinking that would drive my load factor up but nothing changed. I did a search on the forums but nothing came up.
Thank you in advance.

Casey, congrats on opening a hub, and good luck with your airline.
I was told by someone that your loads should go up slightly.. but only if the demand is there.
If you look at people's statistics well into the round, a lot of airlines have more than five hubs - why would they pay double each month for these hubs if it weren't giving them something in return?
Or that's what i'm thinking, anyway.
Best of luck - hope you find your answer.
- Advance.

yes it will go up, and i found that if it doesnt go up, that if u go into the flight manually and just update the price, it will turn into 100%.

look at your passenger data. It should show a connecting factor. You need to have a real presence in a city for it to make an appreciable effect. If you have 20 gates used exclusively by 100+ seat aircraft you might see a 10% increase in people. 5 gates at a large airport used by Q400s would be a waste of money.
