I've noticed for the past little while that the used market in R0 is consistently empty.

 

More alarmingly, when the market resets each day, I open the page to find a selection of used aircraft for sale -- and then when I refresh (or try to buy something), the entire stock is gone. Instantly.

 

This will happen within the first minute of each in-game day.

 

Unfortunately it seems that someone might be using a bot to automatically purchase the entire used stock at the beginning of each day. Very unfriendly.

The airline is Warren Air, run by user Warrenslo. They are using a bot to purchase every available used aircraft at the start of each day, within the first two minutes.

 

I have opened the used market and taken note of which aircraft are available. By time I refresh the page -- every single time -- every aircraft has been purchased by Warren Air.

 

Here are some of the IDs of aircraft that have been snatched:

It's not clear to me if this is a violation of the rules, but it certainly should be.

I have checked at multiple points throughout the day, in three-hour intervals. No matter what time I check, the same behaviour persists. There are three cases:

 

1. This user is so committed to the game that they wake up every 15 minutes to purchase aircraft.

2. This airline is run by users in multiple time zones that are so committed to the game that they open the used market every 15 minutes to purchase everything.

3. The user has deployed a bot to automatically purchase used aircraft every 15 minutes.

 

1 and 2 seem extremely unlikely. Hopefully there are logs that can confirm that this user is indeed buying used aircraft every 15 minutes at all hours of the day.

Unfortunately, there just isn't enough moderator or developer activity for someone to even see this, let alone fix it. I really don't understand what people stand to gain from cheating in Airline Empires. 10 years ago, I guess it makes sense, even if I vehemently disagree with it. But genuinely what is the point of it nowadays? We're all just trying to have fun in what is (probably) this game's last few operational years.

Friendly reminder that this is still going on. Someone is actively cheating by using a bot to purchase the entire used stock every in-game day.

Lol, i noticed too, usually between 18:00 to 23:00 UTC happen, i did think that its a bug, but not. You arline and other guy buy a lot of used planes, even those that are old and have poor performance... At least i ask you, please spare me some 737-200advs LMAO.

Seems there are no planes less than 100 pax in the market, so extrange. 

 

Any way, because one of my strategies its grow with a shameful quantities of old planes. But i only buy 3 or 4 kind of planes, (Ex: 747-100, A300, Britanias). In this case i take like a challenge and i do. passing over my computer and check used plane market every 4 hours. I made it with all dificulties. I think is the most dopamine moment of the game for me.

 

Im not saying that is good, but:

 

Well i hate cheaters, but at this point of the weak support of the game, sure like others said, there are no enough mods to check this ocurrences. 

Spamlining seems continue, not like other years. And the game need a big wrench and screwdrivers in their programation, to correct that kind of bad practices and bug exploits. There are a lot of ideas, but not hands to implement them.

 

As you see Alpha Haffle in R0 there are people that exagerate meme airlines without no sense. Even your airline. At least say "Airlines", point to you.  But when i found a route with that kind of airlines and i set my planes in competition, i fall in a strange and surreal moment, that i feel im not competing vs other airline, I feel that i am competing like a extrange colourful kraken, or the R0 world its starting to fall in a phisodellyc appocalipce, "the wungu wungu banga banga antichirst was arrived". Seems like the Agent Smith its devouring the matrix of  Airlines Empires, China was fall, Trump wil be happy. And there is no NEO to save us. Believe me, Its not pretty to see.

 

But i cant complain, even if i have valid arguments. I enjoy free, and its not a s***ty app in UNITY with a stupid ads every 5 min, and bugged and crashed every 15 min. At least are nearly all,full,complete,historic,rare,iconic passenjer planes of all the history. And i can access to them without buying stupid "DIAMONDS" or strange only for VIP access planes. Scams, searchyourlife datamining for free for thirth parties. Runs in my boomer old computer without flaws at the top fps without selling my car for a graphic card, or state of the art last iphone. Then, i have to eat all my complains.  And im not happy. 

 

So i want things could be better too. I could beg. Surely the Yuxi gifted soul its wandering somethimes this forum. I think i could light a candle and could be heard. 

 

At least i could continue enjoy the game. And (of course) i can ask, pelase, spare me some 737s, LOL wait me 2 or 4 years to make profit, i will sell all to you. its a WIN WIN deal, you should dont miss.

Yeah, a large chunk of my fleet comes from the used market. I make a point of checking regularly when I have some free time.

 

But I don't buy everything, and I certainly don't buy everything repeatedly whenever the day resets.

I hope at some point, someone who has a much more extensive knowledge of coding than me launches a more functional yet still simple (like AE!) airline management sim. Other websites just don't scratch the itch that AE does for me, or cost money to play on.

 

I have some limited knowledge of coding and have somewhat succeeded at making a singleplayer experience similar to AE, but online multiplayer is completly beyond what AP Computer Science taught me. I think I'll take another crack at it one day, but I'd certainly need help, and probably money. None of which I have.

 

This isn't a diss on the devs at AE at all. This website has served me well for years and I still play it despite everything. But it's fairly dead compared to even 2020.

Agreed. I remember back in 2019-20 when I joined AE there was seemingly tons of activity; I can only imagine how much there was at its peak. Unfortunately, in today's world of instant-gratification and low attention spans, websites like AE are increasingly-rarer remnants of another era. Really, it's a miracle that AE has lasted as long as it has. Here's hoping it keeps running for many more years.
