Well, a little while ago I wrote down some rudimentary code to make it easy to put city distances into excel. Later I decided to not let all that work go to waste, so I poured some hours into the code, learned how to use Swing, and made a program that is actually functional. I've finally gotten it to the point where I'm ready to release it, so today I'm pleased to announce the Java distance calculator (beta2). This program is written to overcome some of the shortfalls of the now unsupported city searcher program. It's features include all of the functionality of the city searcher program, plus:
*Executable JAR file written in Java, works on any OS that has a JRE for it
*Fully editable Airport and Aircraft files, keep up to date with all changes in the game, add/remove airports, change their location, whatever you want. If you only want N. American/<insert world area here> Airports displayed, you can do that too. (more on this later)
*Can calculate distances based on aircraft type and frequencies wanted, you no longer have to use a separate program to look up distances. (please see included Readme.txt)
*Display window is copy enabled, you can copy the list generated to any program you want.
*Export to CSV, one click button to export to Excel/Open office friendly format.
If you find any bugs or misplaced/forgotten airports, please let me know.
Please read the included readme file before running for instructions and known bugs.
Air.txt, Aircraft.txt and DistanceCalc.jar must be extracted into the same folder for this to function properly.

I'll release it this upcoming week (it's my spring break), I wanted to do some more upgrades to it, but they're not necessary so I can do them later.
