Start within the first month of the world in the USA or China (You can also start in the European Union after 2000). Start at a major secondary airport (SLC rather than DEN, MDW rather than ORD). Make sure that all your aircraft contain the maximum number of economy seats, don't operate first/business. Create "Scam IFS" (all food options at max price, all amenities except headphones at max price). Don't create IFE. Limit your airline to 2-3 fleet types for the first few months of the world. Constantly check the used market for aircraft. Join or create a massive alliance, open hubs and terminals as soon as possible. Later in the game you can also employ the "spamlining" strategy.
