I'm playing a game and i'm based in the U.S. Is it better to build a stronger domestic network or a stronger international/long haul network? Or both?

It depends on your style of your airline. Whether you want to be something like Alaska Airlines or Southwest with mostly domestic routes and no long-haul or just be a straight up long-haul airline with all heavies like Emirates etc. In my opinion though I think the best way to go for beginners is both.

I do only short haul usually, because it is simple and you can ensure really good aircraft utilization. For a US airline that means domestic, and maybe international to Canada/Mexico. Still if you're a beginner why not try both just to gain some experience.
