Is demand for international flights lower?

It sure feels like demand for international flights is lower, checking ORD-YYZ and ORD-CLT (about the same length, similar airport passengers and the latter is longer) and the latter has 600-700 or so more demand! Is this true for all international routes?

because charlotte gets more yearly passengers so there's more demand idiot

Not sure about international vs domestic but going by gate rental prices, certain countries does give more demand. Gate prices are based on annual passengers IIRC.
