Kia Ora and welcome to the first (and hopefully annual) Oceania Design Contest.

Noticing a lack of nice Oceanic branding, I'm interested to see just what the creative minds on the forums come up with.

Similar to other design contests, the submissions will be judged by an expert panel of one. Me. I want this contest to showcase the Oceanic region and explore more then just a Kangaroo on a red tail or a silver fern on a black tail.

With this being said. I hope this showcases more then just Australia and New Zealand. As a result. These countries are capped at 2 entries each.

Good Luck, waimarie pai, bonne chance!

1024px-Oceania_%28orthographic_projectio

For Reference, the countries considered Oceanic/within Oceania are as follows: Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Kirabati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, the Cook Islands and Niue.

Whilst technically not countries in their own rights, the following states/dependences are also considered in Oceania, including Hawaii, New Caledonia and Easter Island. Full List is available here

RULES

1. One Submission per player

2. This rule is very, very important. You CANNOT use a Kangaroo or Southern Cross for Australia and a Silver Fern for New Zealand.

For Australia, the majority usage of the colours Red, Green and Gold is forbidden.

3. The Design must be original, no resubmission of brands already seen on the gallery unless they show significent changes from the existing livery.

4. Australia and New Zealand are capped at 2 airlines each. There are 16 countries and over 25 dependeces within Oceania. Be creative.

5. If you reserve a space, please also post the planned country of origin or risk forfitting your space.

GUIDELINES

These liveries are pretty standard for most of these, however I'll go over them again.

1. Name and overall design must be as creative as possible.

2. Written descriptions including history are not required but will be taken into consideration provided it is believable

3. For the love of god, submit something you created, not ripped off a website.

JUDGEMENT

Grading will be in 4 different categories, with each category commanding a maximum of 5 points.

1. Originality.

2. Name and logo creativity.

3. Presentation

4.Overall Quality

This contest will close at 12am AEST on Monday the 22nd of June 2020 or 2pm GMT on Sunday the 21st of June 2020.

Happy photoshopping

The Latin America design contest is still ongoing too and can be found here: http://www.airline-e...20/#entry283192

Dauniuli Airways is the flag carrier of Fiji and operates flights to various Asian, Oceanic, North American west coast cities, and smaller Pacific destinations. Dauniuli is a Fijian word that means something like Navigator and their logo is the outline of a Drua, a traditional Fijian oceangoing vessel. Dauniuli is currently phasing in the 787-10 as it's new flagship to replace older 747-400s and 777-200s with the intent of serving more destinations more frequently with its new, more fuel efficient fleet. Dauniuli says the change will allow them continue the Fijian people's proud tradition of pioneering travel across the Pacific. This 787-10 was delivered new from Boeing in 2019, named Nadi, after one of the larger cities in Fiji, and operates most frequently on Daunliuli's newly inaugurated Nadi-Vancouver route but also operates from time to time on the Nadi-Las Angeles route (RIP parallelism).

Naurair

Yaren, Nauru

Naurair is the flag carrier of the small island nation of Nauru. It connects the island with other countries in the Asia-Pacific region, providing much needed connectivity to the people of Nauru.

It's fleet consist of two B737-300s. The livery is inspired by the flag and coat of arms of Nauru. A twelve points on the star represent the island's twelve original tribes, a gold strip representing the equator and a woven background symbolises the people of Nauru. Each aircraft is named after district in Nauru (In VH-NRU case, Aiwo).

Makau Cargo

Honolulu, HA

Makau Cargo is a modern cargo airline based in Honolulu and serving the Hawaiian island chain from the Mainland US, Canada, and Southeast Asia.  It's fleet consists of 6 Airbus A300-600F, and 4 Boeing 777F freighters.

"Makau" is symbolic in Hawaii as meaning "safe passage over water" and the fish hook is a symbol of the world as well.  The fish hook is highlighted on the engine cowls, and the palm tree motif on the tail.

Featured here is an A300-600F, serving Honolulu to Los Angeles and Vancouver, bringing Hawaiian goods to the west coast, and vice versa.

Hello everyone!

Just a quick update; New Zealand and Australia currently have 1 slot remaining each.

Hawaii already has two spots reserved; but my homies over in Papua New Guinea don't have any liveries :(

Good luck!

Airline: Terras; a play both on "Terra Australis", Latin for "Southern Land", the origin of the name Australia, as well as the airline's original name - Territorial Air Service

Home Base: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Airline model: Full service, domestic and international passenger service, primarily to East and Southeast Asia, Oceania, and the West Coast of the United States.

Livery description: The upper body and tail of the airplane are painted in an ochre color, with an accent stripe and titles in a darker brown, both earth tones. The airline's logo is an abstract design evocative of a spinning propeller, in the style of an aboriginal dot painting. This logo dominates the tail and spills onto the upper body of the aircraft.

In line with the submission of Terras above, Australia is now full. 1 slot remains in New Zealand and the rest is still up for grabs!

There's just under 1 week to get those submissions in

Happy photoshopping!

rapa nui | Easter Island, Chile

IATA : IP | ICAO : IPC | Callsign : Moai

Fleet : 1 A330-223

Rapa Nui - Aérolineas Pascuensas is an airline based at Mataveri International Airport, on Easter Island. Its only route links the island with the mainland, namely Santiago. The airline operates a sole A330-200, a former Air Seoul aircraft. Due to the extreme isolation of Easter Island, Rapa Nui is a vital link with the outside world. It is also used by the local tourism board to promote the destination, with the livery featuring a large depiction of the island ans its moai statues, as well as the #easterisland and #isladepascua hashtags on the fuselage.

The wonderful image is by Mark Zukowski
