Still kind of new to AE but I have a probably odd question. . .  I've watched the competition order huge numbers of an aircraft type.  Often the maker is still delivering after the type after it has gone out of normal production.   I've seen fleets 2 or even 3 times the size of real airlines fleets.  Are all these aircraft flown and flown to full utilization?   Can an airline still make money with the big fleets?

Yeah, 100 B737 and 200 A320 would be more efficient compared to 10 B737 and 20 A320.

The more aircraft you owned, the cost for maintain the fleet model would be lowered with each aircraft you have.

True, you do reduce the shop costs (or overhead) per plane when you fly bigger fleets or maybe fewer types.  There is still the mx on each plane, plus with big orders you might get stuck with a less efficient type compared to a newer aircraft.
