I have mix feeling with the Tu-214s.
While they have the capacity and are priced lower than other alternatives, i tend to get rid of Tu-214s (or other variants) within a few years since by then, i would have an increasing backlog of A320s and B737s that can do the same job, provide me with better return on investment and wont become an odd ball fleet within my airline.
Obviously, everyone should have their own opinions and operate what they choose and feel most comfortable with.

Good for getting started, but I too will eventually replace them further into the game, either with A320 or B737 NGs.
Similarly, the Il-96-400 is a useful precursor to the A330-300, and on a 10-year lease contract you can actually acquire them for zero after 7 years...

When I'm at that point in the game, I'm getting that family of Tupolevs because my 757-200 orders are more than likely backlogged and I need extra capacity. I usually order the Tu204-100 because I can have engine commonality with my 757-200s (can be ordered with RB211s). They have enough range to fly transcons and translants (British Isles) from east coast airports. I can also use them on trunk routes and free up any 757s on those routes for Translants that go deeper into Western Europe.
