Is first class worth adding to your aircraft seat configuration, I seen multiple players saying its not worth adding. Is there any reasoning behind why its not worth it.

Well if you would like to run a realistic/ full-service carrier, then it's suggested you add first class. However, if you are in the game to make a profit, adding first class can restrict how many economy passengers you can fit (where most revenue comes from) and if you add realistic IFS to the first class, it could lead to a lower profit on the route.

AE is the best.

That’s not how it works. Legroom is the only factor to whether a cabin config will increase reputation or not.

Legroom, IFS, IFE, on-time performance, and frequency, I thought?

Well, yes. Aside from IFE, legroom is the only way in the Create New Configuration Tool to increase your reputation. The number of classes in your configuration makes no difference.

i once competed with a top 10 ranking airline & leader of their alliance in the same route. the competitor only has C & Y class only. i match the aircraft type, same classes configuration, same seat configuration, same ifs service level, same price, same frequency but my loadfactor always below 50%. but, when i added F class, suddenly i had a significant boost of loadfactor. when i add F class to all route, suddenly my airline total reputation increased also. so i guess the F class matters :)

On the other hand, once or twice when I've been involved in price wars on certain routes I've ended up either scrapping or reducing my 1st class provision by reconfiguring the aircraft, as the price drop in 1st was bringing it almost level with business!

It depends on the route, to me. There's always some routes with no or almost no F, and you can scrape off these passengers with an F config. (I've even done F/J only airlines in the past, but those always seem very volatile to me).
