If you don't like A320 then use the 737. The A320 is more efficient though.

That surpass my capacity, and my "airline regulations", but my calculations said, you need:

For 4000 pax demand with a 747-400D (the largest ACFT of one of my current  VA for that age) with 548 in economical class is:
61.76 flights at week, green bar to the top limit (no empty seats).  i dont know the distance but seems like a 1000 mi , that is like 4 or 7 planes to cover that route.

61.76 / 7 days = 8.8 daily flights, of a 747-400D :o

I think is reasonable :o because 747-400D is made for that.

You could both use narrowbody aircraft (A320, 737, etc.) and have many frequencies, or widebody aircraft (A330, 767, etc.) for less frequency, or large widebody aircraft (747-400/400D) for even less frequency.

well, you will use more gates, i preffer a more realistic simulation, Are there a huge air shuttle with a A320 in the reality?

for A320 you will need 215.59 flights.     215.59 / 7 = 30.7  dialy flights

NY-Boston has pretty similar frequencies, I believe, using that size aircraft or smaller

Edit: Did a bit of research and found that between London and Dublin, there are more than 600 weekly flights with no aircraft larger than an A320

Thamks zelalemon , very useful information.

it says :[ Air Canada RapidAir service between Toronto and Montreal as well as Toronto and Ottawa in Canada. The route is also served by WestJet and Porter Airlines with up to 200 flights every weekday between the three cities. Air Canada also offers hourly flights between Toronto and Vancouver. However, these flights last at least 4.5 hours. ]

OMG.

These days about half of the flights between Toronto & Vancouver are in widebodies as well.  The last two times I've flown it were both in a 777-300ER.

Yes that and YVR-YUL as well. Sometimes, YYC-YYZ also has wide bodies. Even YVR-EWR has a 787
