How come I see some people with terminals with over 500 gates?

 

e.g. 800 at GSP (Greenville - Spartanburg) and 700 at FAI (Fairbanks).

 

I thought the limit was 200?

You can buy terminals even after hitting the 200-gate construction limit. The player/s in question has bought terminals.

lol - since one can ALWAYS expand a pre-existing terminal further (i.e., beyond the 200-gate-at-a-time limit), you could build a 50000 gate terminal (or more), if you wanted - and had the cash to acquire that many gates!  It takes a long, long time (and lots of routes) to use up all those slots!

Not at all. It takes ~2 minutes to deploy ~100 aircraft.
