Have you noticed a low demand for the Caribbean Islands?
I know there is low populations centers but still seems extremely low.

RJM
Yes - there should be more demand I think

It's how the game works.
Airport w/ low pax. count to airport w/ low pax. count = Low Demand, which is what the Caribbean basically is.
Airport w/ low pax. count to airport w/ high pax. count = Medium Demand, which is basically US Mainland to Caribbean.
Airport w/ high pax. count to airport w/ high pax count = High Demand, which is in no way the Caribbean.

Well - there is a lot of demand to the caribbean. From the US and canada, there are A LOT of leisure flights to the caribbean islands now. Inter-island, not so much, but still.
Programming demand like this would require a lot of work, and its not going to change any time soon.Well - there is a lot of demand to the caribbean. From the US and canada, there are A LOT of leisure flights to the caribbean islands now. Inter-island, not so much, but still.

well - if we keep posting - it may happen someday... you can either sit back in life and think that nothing will ever happen, or you can do stuff and sometimes get rejected
The point is to use connecting pax to fill the flights as is the case in the real world. Only DEN, MSP, and ORD could realistically support O&D flights, and then only from fall to spring. I'd contend demand here is about 4x what it is in the real world (a figure that's true almost across the board).

Why only those cities? What made you choose those?

It's a recognition of vacationing habits.
Caribbean destinations are for beach vacationers. Coastal dwellers tend not to visit beaches, or visit US beaches in summer. Those within driving range of a beach tend to visit that beach and seek other vacation destinations. MSP, Chicago, and DEN are unique in having large enough populations, air-oriented travel habits (being relatively far from other large cities), with bad enough winters, far enough away from the beach that winter beach vacations are popular--and popular enough to support non-stop flights. I probably should have included NYC in there too just for its sheer size.
It's not just those cities. Look at Toronto, Montreal, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and many other cities in the north. All of us are looking for a way out, even for a little.
