So currently when you lease or buy a gate you get 50 slots which you can use at your wish. You could put 50 a380s on it or 50 737s. Since the a380 has a turn time of 120 mins while the 737s s 35 mins. This would mean that the gate would be used for 100 hours a week for the a380s while the 737 would only be used for 29 hours and 10 mins. This is one of the reasons people spam a380s on route which irl would be used by instead each gate should give you 140 hours levelling the field. Since gates can have more flights on them terminal gate numbers would also become more realistic instead of the 100 or 200 gates you see people easily doing.

Sounds good, I would like a more slots based system, this would also make larger aircrafts mroe viable as now the better option is to use a smaller aircraft more frequently

Tbh I really like this idea. However, sadly, there will be no more change to the current AE, so probably developer will see this into account for AE4 -which means this adds up another eternity to our waiting time.
