You are correct about sarcasm.  I'm just postulating that if it's a fan-fiction story about an AE Christmas Miracle, it would obviously be about getting AE4 in the end.

It was an early Britain morning, William was up making the same breakfast he had had for the entirety of his life, dark bread with earl grey. Having showered, and prayed to the Queen William was ready for  another day of work, another day of mediocrity, another day of AE chat. Or so it seemed; you see this day was different, William had a doctor's appointment. Even with all the Christmas decorations around, the London public transportation system was awfully cold. "I can't wait until this stupid holiday is over, William thought".

William saw the gray, run down hospital and couldn't help but feel calm. He knew he were among friends who all hated christmas as much as him; as he approached the waiting room he was struck with a feeling something bad was about to happen...
 
And how right he was, quickly he was dragged into the operating room where "Doctor Sir- BONG Cheringham with Tea & Crumpets" diagnosed him with British Super AIDS. A rare disease that would limit William's lifespan greatly. William was devastated, could Christmas get any worse?

Will took the horse & carriage instead of the Underground for once, he was panicked and needed the s***-smelling London air to calm himself. Arriving at work he was greeted with great skepticism from his co-workers, even more than usual. The Head Bong, William's supervisor; "Head Officer Sire George Wolversbottom of Farage-Upon Tyne" summoned him to his office to inform him he was let go of his services. 
They had found out about the British Super AIDS and suspected William was gay. The only thing the British police force hated more than the European Union and guns were homosexuality. Will was devastated.
