Would open up the opportunity to order some additional types (most notably the DC-4).
Drawbacks include a world not starting on a year that's a multiple of five. Also I think it'd make the data collectors actually have to do something for once.

Doing this would be a long process since I think they would have to add a lot of Aircraft data and more.

Because in 1945 there was a rather small issue of a global war.
