I think that there should be different costs for gates at an airport.

- One cost to rent a gate

- One cost to rent a plane stand

- One cost for a landing slot (one arrival and one departure)

 

Separate or a different option would be gate costs for different size aircraft. I mainly think about this when expanding my terminal buildings. Having a main terminal and a commuter terminal.

 

A new fee structure for gate usage could add another aspect to the game.

A place to park a plane that doesn't have a jetway connected to a terminal

Do not think I will hate it but make more real life and be able to use regional aircraft at airports where gates are crazy expensive.

Well at Pittsburgh Southern Airways Express uses one gate but has 6 parking spots at that one gate. They use Caravans so you just walk into and out of the gate through the Jetway and walk to and from the Caravans. I'd support this I think. There's a lot of times where I think if you parked somewhere kinda remote in a big airport and bussed passengers to a single gate that it would be cheaper..
