Major Korean and Japanese air carriers Seoul Air Lines and Nippon Airways have established a joint-venture across the Sea of Japan. Leveraging hubs at Seoul and Tokyo, both carriers hope to create the most connections options between Asia and the World.

Today marks a great day in SILA's race to become a key international member of Excel, as the first two airplanes of the type McDonnell Douglas MD-11 were flown to Arlanda Airport and given a serenade. The two airplanes named Palme and Hammarskjöld will serve the across the atlantic to New York City & Washington, connecting to Excel member airline Oceanic.
