The Q400 will allow Alaska Pacific to operate new, longer routes, carrying more passengers. Hopefully, the profits from the routes will help the airline recover the debt it's run into buying the thing.

London-
Alaska Pacific Airlines (IATA: AK, ICAO: APL, Callsign: Polar) is partying the roof off of Terminal Four to announce new Seattle-London/Heathrow service. This flight, AK001, is the airline's first service to Europe, operated by a brand new Airbus A310-300. Said First Class passenger and Mercer Island resident Bill Gates, "I love this new service, it provides an excellent link between my business headquarters here, and our divisions in Europe." Later, Mr. Gates was dismayed to learn that the only internet browser avliable on the First Class computers provided free for passenger use was Firefox. The service provides a connection to fellow alliance member Gizme Airways, with connections to Rome, Zurich, and Toulouse.
