While it is old and not very good-looking, it has a kind of cool retro feel to it, from the PSUs to the 2-3 config. Its a neat ride for a millennial US loyalist who had only ridden one before the merger once when US put him on AA bc of a cancellation. Now I prefer them over the 737s LAA uses that don't have IFE.

The family looks nice, but if I recall correctly, they're one of the most polluting western commercial aircraft still in the sky. So I dock them points on that.

The MD-80 series is a great series. I flew Allegiant's MD-80 to St Pete/Clearwater and I loved it. I really love Delta's use of them, they work so well to bring everyone to ATL. There's something beautiful about them.

In my opinion, the MD family is one of the most greates family in aviation history. I am very sad that they don't build any other MD aircrafts, i am one of the big fans of this jets.

my favorite the 757.

What better? I love it too. Case in point -- a 757 can take off on a short runway with a full load of fuel, and climb to 390 immediately. A 737 with a fair runway and a light load step climbs to 390... I flew from MIA-CCS with 40 pax on board with AA (best airline in America, by the way). The 737-800 took 3000 feet to rotate and climbed to 290... then 310... 330... 360... 390...
