What type of texture is it?
What program(s) did you use?
What does the .CFG say?

Did you use DXTBmp to put the textures in DXT3 format?

Dude.... the only people who put things in DXT3 format are people with stoneage computers or people who are trying to make AI. The reason you use DXT3 format is because for some reason Adobe Photoshop's 32bit conversion doesn't work properly, so you use DXTBMP to convert them (with alpha) into 32bit... the 888 kind or whatever it is called.

you need to save it in a 32-bit type format... with DXTBmp, the best one is 32-bit 888-8, however this saves the file in the biggest file size ever.. if you have a slower computer you might want to try saving it in DXT3 format.. but if you do it over and over again your texture will start to loose detail and will start comming out with a greenish tint to it...

When you paint in FS2004 you need to save the textures at either a 32bit, 256bit, or 16bit. You can also save them as DXT3's but you need DXTbmp which can be easily found on AVSIM.com or Flightsim.com download section. Hope all works out well and you post the paint when your done;)
