I am wondering how can I check before buying an airplane how much fuel does it consume? is it the "Average Fuel Flow"? and if so, which one is better if the number is 20,000 or 15,000 for example?

yep its average fuel flow and the lower the fuel flow the better the economy

Lower is better. Divide fuel-flow by passenger number, then divide speed by the result. Higher numbers are better.

Always check the fuel consumption before purchasing an aircraft, purchasing the more economical fuel usage. When possible in the game purchase the wing lets for increased fuel economy.
