A couple of new game worlds have opened up but before they even start, people are asking for co-managers of their airlines.
Working as a team is nothing new & there's nothing wrong with it from a strategic point of view. You increase the man power, take advantage of different time zones, & your airline will literally never sleep & potentially rule the world.
But I also see a lot of offers from people just giving their newly-created airlines away, for you to run "any way you want". Personally, I smell a scam.
Anyone contemplating taking on or co-running someone else's airline should ask themselves one little question: How do you get those little trophies?
Because after all your hard work, whether you're co-working with an active airline originator, or being left to run the airline yourself, & then getting that airline up into the top 10, the top 3, or even number 1 by the end of the game, guess who gets the trophy?
Not you.
It's the guy who might have done absolutely nothing except start the airline & then graciously give it away. Now he's got an extra trophy next to his name & looks even more pro, more successful, & more formidable to anyone competing against him in ANY game world presently or in the future.
You might gain some experience, & I accept that some people may be sincere in wanting help to build an awesome airline (refer 2nd paragraph), but I also think there's some serious trophy-farming going on. I think this is particularly true if you're being offered an airline that has barely begun.
If you start an airline & find you don't have the time for it, just kill it & get out of the way.
If a game world is half-way through, & an airline is offered that has billions of dollars, hundreds of planes & you have nothing else to do, sure, grab it & have some fun. Been there, done that.
But if game worlds are still in pre-start pause & someone is giving away their airlines ; smell the rat, & just start your own. I promise you it will be a lot more satisfying.
