Cargo carrying is a massive industry now just look at fedex, so i think that cargo routes should be able to be operated and even if your not using full aircraft you would be able to use a proportion of the hold e.g 747. Also it would finally have a use for some aircraft like the 757-200M

it's been two or three years since I last seriously played this game, so could somebody tell me what version we are on? Are we still at 3.1 beta?

I guess this is unavoidable when the only developers are a couple of volunteer university students.
But Yuxi and un1, if you are reading this, please know that we all greatly appreciate the work that you guys put into developing AE.

wasnt the original AE 4.0 estimate date sometime around December 2012? I remember this because we were talking about how we all wanted to have a cargo airline before the world was "going to end"

AE isn't an open source community, you don't simply volunteer yourself.
It needs a project manager who knows how to plan schedule and distribute tasks, not more coders.
