What do people think is a good jet replacement for the DC7? (ie for US domestic services, or European short-haul)
Tried the TU104 but (as people have said in another topic) its a disaster.
Or is it best to stick to turboprops for a while till jets get more efficient?

stick with the L188 Electra until the 737/DC-9 come out

188 is not even comparable to DC7 unless all of your flights are under 1500 miles. 188 is short leg aircraft although was very good at what it did so I would buy them, as for a replacement for the DC7 there is Britannia or 707. About it for now then DC8.
