During the night (UTC) or afternoon (EDT) on June 5, we will be moving to a new, upgraded server. This transition will cause about 2-3 hours of downtime, during which all game worlds will be paused and you will not be able to access the game or the discussion forums.

You can stay if you're already in the chat, but you won't be able to join the chat during that time.

Is the chat carried out over XMPP server or somewhere else? How is this done?
