If your airline is in the East of the world yes it is very efficient, its not a good aircraft to have in Europe or North America as that is very unrealistic

Thanks for your reply Northern i understand that it would be very unrealistic but if i was not focused in realism would it still be a good airplane even in North America?

The Tu-204-100 is one of my favourite planes, I always use it, but consider the Tu-214 as well, it is just as good except slightly less range but is delivered more regulalry

Agreed, if you're a Western airline using Soviet/Russian equipment, you deserve to die a slow death.

Would it be acceptable to get the Tu-204-100 now and replace it with the 757-300 when it becomes available?

I am not aware of any current game mechanics that differentiate performance of Russian aircraft in America.

You will encounter many players who like the superiority of imposing their own game rules upon you; but don't worry, you will get used to it.

Aircraft replacement is a tedious process in AE, so it is not worth replacing 4 year old aircraft.

I would rather replace Tu 204-100 with 737-900ER, but that's personal choice.

Tu204 is a good plane for any airline, but especially in S2 where purchase price is key. However I think the Airbus A321 is a better choice, except perhaps for runway length required.

The fuel consumption is much higher than other aircraft on it's class, so it's better to get A321 or B737-900ER

'Realism', Iquit, is the pawn used by somewhat realistic airline operators against evil spamlines. That's why I use it ^_^ . We prefer people to be historically accurate. Using Tegel instead of Schoenfeld in Berlin before 1991, for example.

Yup, that's why you keep hearing players whining about gate shortage when there are still plenty of them around.

Listen, we've gone :offtopic: too far now. Although the Tu-204 may not be efficient and it's Russian, the guy has made his decision.

Tu-214 is even better, less fuel flow, less turn time and less production rate
