Here's the deal.  I have a bond out.  My money's positive until the day I have to pay.  The next day, there's a "missed payment" notice.  What can I do to prevent this from happening again?

Not take out bonds would be one way.

Well, I'm guessing your bonds are due on either payday, or a day with a lot of lease payments due.

It's on the first of each month.

Make sure that you have enough money to make all your payments.

Before you spend money for something, go through and estimate how much money you will have to pay through the end of the month (lease payments, gates, payroll, maintenance, interest payments, etc).  Then project how much money you will make through end of month (Daily Operating profit X number of days left in month).  Add your projected income to your cash on hand, subtract your total estimated expenses.  Now you know about how much money you have to use for leasing new planes.  Also try to build a  cushion of cash into your calculations just in case your math is a little off.
