What guides should I go to?

I just joined when I found this while looking for airplane templates. It looked fun but I know nothing about aviation. Could someone point me to the best guides for people like me?

I'm pretty confused now. I started in the sandbox world and made a airline called Swag Air based in Seattle Tacoma. I started one route, from Seattle to Vancouver, and I'm losing tons of money each month. I'm not sure what's making me lose so much money.

Check your finances by klicking on the money number at the top. You will see all incomes and expenses listed up there, so you can find out where you are losing lots of money. Usual suspects if unprofitable are the maintenance base cost (go to the maintenance part of finances) and the salary (editable at airline options). Other than that, most of the guides will give you a good idea what to whatch out for as well.

I always reccomend that new members avail of Scam IFS which is basically charging the maximum price for everything (at 1 quality of course). It brings in a good bit more income and might help

I started ScamIFSing and I was bringing in a profit but then something happened and I'm losing money again. I also had my tickets set to a dollar for two categories since thats what my competition did. I think I'm losing money because of maintenance though.

Its incredible difficult to make a profit with just one plane, because the maintenance base charge. Get a couple more 737-400s on leases and the maintenance cost per plane becomes a lot more affordable.

Don't ever charge a dollar unless a route is less then 2 miles long. If airlines charge a dollar for first/biz, they usually replaced an aircraft with eco–only with a three-class one. Just ignore the one-dollar price and look what your other competitors are charging. Or just fly a route without competition.

Also, if you are only operating one route, you probably don't want it to have any competition (much less selling for $1). Look for some open routes and you should see more success.

Thanks for more tips. I'm going to raise my rates and buy one or two more planes.

Fly to small airports with no competition.  Charge the default price. Don't oversupply demand. Use Scam IFS.  Cut employee wages to $7 an hour and reserves to 0% and extend aircraft leases to 10 years.  You should survive the night....
