Hi I've been playing this game for about a week and so far everything has made sense.

 

But I just preordered the Boeing 777-300 (launch customer).

 

It says "delivery starts" for that aircraft on April 8, 1998. Historically the first 773 was delivered in May 1998.

 

But I just preordered a number of them and I won't get the first until 2003. What gives?

 

No one else in my game has currently ordered any of them besides me.

Well about it being delivered too early, take advantage of it
Regarding the queues it may be because you already have 777 orders (other than the 777-300) going all the way up to 2003

To create a slight random factor all delivery dates are distributed randomly around the original year of first delivery. All orders of an aircraft family are queued behind each other so that 777-200 deliveries until 2002 can lead to your 777-300 deliveries only occurring in 2003.

No, canceling deliveries will not allow you to move up other deliveries.
