So? Since aircraft factories have started airlines I want to do the reverse , lets see how they like it

i think the regulation currently prohibit it, but you can order so many aircrafts that the manufacturer will consider building a dedicated fully customized aircraft type to suit your specific need..  :shifty:

I still don't get it...if I want a Facebook game with a bunch of daily tasks I would play AM.  What makes AE great is that it is a broad-stroke business simulation with an amazing level of real-world detail (kudos to Yuxi again).  What will make AE4 even greater is a more accurate level of demand detail and controlled expansion....not a bunch of daily tasks like flight numbers, fuel purchases, etc.

Just my two cents again.

I play AirwaySim sometimes and that has a good fuel feature. You have the option to just buy it everyday on its own. You can also click an option where you hedge the price. Lets say one day it was $100 a barrel you hedge it. The next day the price goes up to $120 you only have to pay $100 since that was the price you started hedging it at. This also has a bad side since it can go down to $80 but you have to pay $100 since that's the price you made the contract at. On this contracts are made yearly. To me this is a neat idea to add to AE since it is realistic. I also think its about time I agree with you for once jetblue :P

Just bringing this up again as another idea to add into the game

I support fuel hedging.... But since prices here don't fluctuate the suggestion is pointless til then

I go against this. It would cause more unnecessary management and hurt smaller airlines.

It doesn't matter for the moment because the fuel prices are fixed and it won't make a difference for smaller airlines because they can do it too

Historical fuel prices and fuel hedging cannot happen at the same time, otherwise people can cheat knowing the price in advance.
If AE to introduce fuel hedging, fuel price have to be random / unknown to player.
