I am proposing that the de Havilland DH.84 Dragon be added to AE.

Passengers: 10

Max speed: 167 kph

Range: 400 nautical miles

Aer Lingus currently operate one example of this aircraft.

Past operators include:

British Airways

Indian National Airways

VASP

The DH.84 was retired in 1946 by Aer Lingus. It is exactly the opposite of a modern aircraft.

On the other hand, I will see what Northern, Brit and others say about adding this aircraft into AE. It may be a bit early for the game, but we shall see.

Why would Aer Lingus have one if they don't use it?

It was their first model of aircraft in 1936, sold it in '38/'39. That 1 was shot down so they bought an identical one ( Yes, a movie cliche) and kept it for no reason. It flew in the recent 'flightfest' in Dublin.

Correction, it was supposed to fly in FlightFest but didn't due to weather conditions. It was a great event though! Does anyone know if this aircraft will be accepted or not?

At the start of the day there was a gusting wind and scattered showers, and so the Iolar had to pull out but when the time came for the event to actually start, it was quite pleasant!

I see no reason why this can't be approved, but again - its an oldie, so it isn't guaranteed.
