They don't seem to appear on the used market. Also where do the planes on the used market that have no history come from? They just say bought in 1990 or something and then appear on the market 5 years later with no airline info...

It's not immediate or else people with secondary accounts can get them at a cheaper rate. They don't take as long as 5 years, it's just someone who keeps refreshing the used market section after they've been added to it has snapped them up. Do a search before posting next time, there is a lot of topics on this already.

Correct, and sold planes do appear on the used market but with a random delay to prevent abuse (feeding aircraft between different airlines owned by the same player to get around the delivery slot limits).

you could say that the "delay" the time it takes to de-brand the airline e.g. remove the livery
