Which aircraft do you suggest for the replacement of aging Boeing 757-300s? I can't find one with comparable capabilities and efficiency around 2010 or later.

What about the 787-8? or you could just go with a 767-200ER

Either the 767-200Er or the 787. But to be fair, there isn't and never will be a true 757 replacement simply because the 757 was a too unique bird!

Hey...What about the A350800... You Airbus haters!

(I live in a city where it is hard to go 20 minutes without seeing an a320 from US Airways. Im sorry.)

Well, if I'd wanted a 767, I could have gone for a 767 in the first place anyway, no? :P The 787-8 is OK I guess, unless your 787 slots are already needed for your 757-200s. :/

I'm replacing various a/c with various other a/c.

Ex. My very old 767-300ER are getting replaced by 787-8 , 77E and 77W. Depending of the route.

Your 757-300 could be replaced by a 787-8 on shorthaul. Those beast print money in any route. It can be CDG-FRA or CDG-SIN and it makes it.

Also, you can replace your 753, increasing freq with an 739ER, depending of the stage length.

Boeing were more then happy to give out 767 on lease to those who were effected by the delay of the 788, and Boeing also market the 787 as a replacement for both the 757 and 767.

I'd suggest A330-200 as a replacement. It is a tad on the large side

I say 787-8 as it is a more appropriate size and is keeping Boeing.

the Dreamliner was also a Boeing-suggested 757 replacement.

Apparently Boeing are considering making a more appropriate 757 replacement, but if they decide to make it it's going to enter production around 2025.

Hmm why would you want to replace B757-300? the fuel consumption are one of the best, even compared to the new plane, besides B787 are way too big for B757-300 replacement
