Privyet Aeroflot! One of the world's oldest and most recognizable airlines, dutifully serving as the flag carrier of the Russian Federation, is now a proud member of Excel Alliance. From its hub at Moscow-Sheremetyevo International Airport, Aeroflot serves over one-hundred different cities in forty countries on three continents, with the bulk of its network centred on the Commonwealth of Independent States and the rest of Europe. This will give Excel member airlines and their travelers a range of new destinations available in this exciting and dynamic part of the world. 

 

Aeroflot is currently finishing up the bulk of a restructuring scheme put in place by the Russian government, which set forth to turn the airline into a dynamic and well-respected global carrier with a Russian touch. In keeping with this plan, Aeroflot is currently taking delivery of modern Western jets to serve the Russian people more reliably and efficiently. Moscow-Sheremetyevo is also undergoing a facelift and expansion, with several new terminals constructed for Aeroflot and its partner airlines. Thus Moscow, which is one of the world's centres for trade and finance, is poised to become a fitting new hub within the Excel network of carriers. At current, Aeroflot is mulling over possible widebody orders from Boeing or Airbus in order to expand its intercontinental network.
