Just remember that the distance in that program is NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTT correct, so double check before ordering gates.

Could you please give examples of where the distance is incorrect, so I can look into it?

Not a problem:

There is many but just a rough sample:

AE say ALB - ATL (852 miles)

Your Program say (724NM)

AE say ATL - DFW (729 miles)

Your Program say (633NM)

AE Say CGN - BHX (395 miles)

Your Program say (343NM)

AE say LHR - CDG (218 miles)

Your Program say (188NM)

AE say SHA - HND (1104 miles)

Your Program say (959NM)

And the list goes on....

Please do not get me wrong - I LOVE IT

But players should understand if they are looking at buying gates before looking at AE distance they could end up buying too many or too little depends on the route.

Okay, I found what's wrong actually. See the thread I just started in the Bugs section.

Or, if you're too lazy to do that I'll just tell you that what is says in plain English is that my program's right and AE's wrong. :) But since the program is supposed to be a tool for AE, I suppose AE's always, per se, right. *sigh* So yes, I'll make a new version of the program. In the meantime, just multiply the values claimed by my program with 1.15078 and you should get the AE distance. :P

(It's all right watchdog, we need to help in together creating a useful program, don't we? Many thanks for pointing out the distances were wrong, otherwise I'd never have seen that myself!)

Edit: Okay, I thought I'd start a new tidier thread with the current version in the top of the thread. See http://www.airlineem...ad.php?tid=4421 for new version of the program.

This is a great tool. However, can you change the mileage from nautical miles to statute miles? Using the Distance Calculator in game I get 7245 miles for LAX-HKG, while using your distance calculator I get 6300. I use a website that has both distances included when finding time/distance. For this route I get Nautical Miles: 6294.09 and Statute Miles: 7244.65. That's a big difference considering that with the 6300 miles you could actually use an A330 and you can't with the 7245.
