What do you think the name of the merged (American + US Airways) airline will be ?

American, they would have the majority in the merger, also the merger would go to oneworld for the same reason

If this merger is approved, which thank goodness is not likely to occur with the current admin, American is screwed. Period.

Therefore, I would have to say it should go to US Airways, that way it won't ruin the American legacy.

I consider Delta and Southwest to hog it all along with Alaska in the west who are going to kill everyone over the next few years due to there quality and there orders.

I'm kind of hoping the two don't merge.

A friend once told me:

Airline mergers are like raindrops on a window. They slide down, getting bigger and bigger, until they disappear completely.

That reigns true. It'll be interesting to see what happens- if the two were to merge, you're going to have them trying to nail other big airlines, and that's gonna suck- imagine in the future having one gigantic airline like what happens in AE? Doesn't give you much of a choice now does it?
