I would like the implementation of ETOPS-regulations. Especially in older worlds it could help the three- and fourengined planes. Also earning the ETOPS-certification could be a goal to start TATL- and TPAC- flights with two-engined planes.
Would there be major problems?

I don't think AE works with or against ETOPS - we work only on direct distance.

I was just going to start a new thread requesting ETOPS, but a quick search revealed this thread so I will mearly add my support to this request.

I think ETOPS restrictions would go along away to improving the realism of the game.

ETOPS would be awesome but it would be a killer toward AE4

ETOPS has been suggested countless times now, and will most probably not be added for AE4 due to it's possible complexity and the fact that AE4 has already been severely delayed, and this would just be another huge delay. This may be added in updates of AE4 and future versions of AE , but I would not expect it to appear anytime soon
