Effects of aging on aircraft

As far as I can tell as a plane ages:
+Fuel consumption increases
+Maintenance costs increase
Are there any other effects like:
-Speed decrease
-Range at max load decrease
-Take off distance increase
-Flight hours decrease
Is there an option to overhaul or upgrade engines to reverse the effects of aging?
Thanks!

I have been playing about a week now and have been trying to determine the effects of aging on aircraft.
As far as I can tell as a plane ages:
+Fuel consumption increases
+Maintenance costs increase
The increased costs are so insignificant that it's pretty much negligible until the plane is maybe 30 years old.

No.

It is in the works.

If you don't have enough money after 30 years to buy a brand new better plane, you should stop tryingThe increased costs are so insignificant that it's pretty much negligible until the plane is maybe 30 years old.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! My concern was that if I purchased a used 737 with a range of 1900 miles and put it into service on a 1900 mile route, would the effects of aging make it not possible to fly that route at some point. Or would the runway length required get longer, speed decrease, etc that would mess up my routes and schedules.

There is no performance difference with age - only maintenance and a little bit of fuel.

Yuxi, Out of interest, Should we not be encouraging airlines to keep their old planes somehow?
In game, you can get 600 plane mega airlines trying to keep a fleet average of 5 years, that's hardly realistic....
Granted, that's more about making mass-buying new planes less desirable to just keeping the old ones...
By "encouraging" do you mean Increase acquisition costs? One point to note is that in AE, money is not a problem for big airlines, and players don't care whether it's economically sensible to keep buying new planes. Another thing is that sometimes it's more economical to buy a new plane to replace an aircraft with a pending D check (costing lots of $$$). But then again, with overflowing coffers this is mostly irrelevant.

bet it still make money, why would you want to replace the aircraft then?
I would want to replace the aircraft if doing so would make more money.

Not wanting to debate Master Yuxi, but with all respect, I beg to differ
I would rather deploy new aircraft to new route and make even more money

Iv found that buying used aircraft is better to get your route up and running first, then wait till its about 25 - 30 years old and replace it with a new one,
