Hello all,

I have a few suggestions regarding the used market:

1. there should be a re-registration fee if you are buying planes from outside your base country

2. there should be a delivery fee which would be based on if the aircraft could make the flight, here is an example:
If an american airline sells an A320 to a British Airline then there would be more fees because an A320 cant make it from US to UK since it has to traverse through the ocean. While if its the same deal with an A330, A330 could make it from US to UK easily so its cheaper to deliver.

Thanks, Tim

Wow! :o These are really clever ideas and I fully support them! :P I was always wondering that when an aircraft comes from another place if there are any fees attached and if this is added to the game it would be really realistic and fair! :P

I imagine part of the 10% broker fee includes the costs to instantly teleport it from where ever it is in the world to where ever the buyer wants it.

I think that we can logically assume that both of these are covered under the commission.
I also think you'll find it would cost more to transport an A330 across the Atlantic than an A320.
Sure, an A320 may not make LAX-LHR, but I'm under the impression it can fly JFK-LHR empty. If not, it would certainly be able to fly New York to Gander to Shannon to London. The fuel cost of an A330 would be considerably greater.

Well an A330 would just fly across the Atlantic while an A320 would have to be sent on a ship (I am not sure if it can make the JFK-LHR segment empty, it's just an example)

You ever seen a ship carrying a brand new A320 to the US?
The specific example you used is incorrect. YQX-SNN is only 2000 miles or so.
With delivery flights, almost all planes can get to almost anywhere by flying. An E-120 may not be able to fly across the Atlantic, but it can fly across Russia and Alaska. :whistling:
In relation to the aircraft, the cost of delivery is minimal.

Your forgetting Iceland and Greenland :whistling:

I know for a fact that Socata TBMs are delivered from Europe to the US via Iceland and Greenland

Here is a story about a single-engine turboprop that was ferried from France to Canada (via Great Britain, Iceland, and Greenland). http://www.aopa.org/...lantic0710.html

I've also seen stories about turboprops that are ferried from South America to Australia (up to LAX, then via Hawaii, then small Pacific island nations).

A related idea might be to delay delivery of used aircraft purchases for, say, 1 game week. This will allow the aircraft to be moved from the previous owner, have a maintenance check, and get repainted to your own colours.
