Hello all,

Because aircraft like 707's or DC8-50's cant make any profit (especially with competition) I propose the feature be added that makes "reasonable price" to be higher since really there werent any low cost flights IRL in the 60's.

Just throwing a suggestions which may make it more realistic.

Thanks, Tim

This would all be fixed with historical fuel prices... :P

There is also inflation if you want to take that into account. For example, a two thousand dollar flight in 1960 would be how much you would pay for an average car, and a Boeing 707 cost $4.3 million. A $100 ticket would be coach on a long range flight, instead of a discount ticket to fly to a nearby city. It might be confusing to have an inflation adjusted world though.

Yes, the prices were higher but the demand was lower. Be careful what you ask for :P

If anything, I think the standard/default prices for many routes are too high and should be lowered (keep in mind those are one-way fares) for years > 1975 :whistling:

I think that for routes without competition, the prices are about right.
We shouldn't simulate competition through lower prices, as well as competition existing.
On very short flights, of under 150 miles, they could probably be increased...

I remember in World AE1, we were selling tickets from TPE to LAX for $439. :P
