I started an airline called Cheapo Flights Setting All salaries low but still good.
Start Aircraft was the ATR42-300 I have 6 ATR72-500's pn order and plan to get an A320 when i get to 15 million Dollars. After that get 1 A320 every time i pass 15 million untill i have a good fleet (Maybe 3 A320's then save up for 30 million and lease a 777-200LR or 777-300ER. Then just experiment. Is this a good strategy?

Just be careful your fleet does't get diverse. I lost around 5 beta airlines to bankruptcy because my fleets were too diverse. Just don't use more than these 3 aircraft.
5 or so types are OK. 20 types, like many airlines, is BAD

You're absolutely right. I'm getting rid of a lot of types of aircrafts right now so I can end up with a couple.

I usually goes for the ones with a low average fuel flown and a decent runway requirement. An engine that balances both is good.
I usually choose the ones with average fuel flown and good speed

Currently, engine choice doesn't matter at all.5-7 aircraft family is the maximum limit i think, just make sure the engines are all the same
The lowest fuel flow engines are also the best, except in a couple of cases. (e.g. I take GE 763ER engines because they have a slightly longer range, even though they have a slightly higher fuel flow than the RR engine. This is possible how, I don't know)
