Growing up in Sacramento, California, in the 1970s-1980s, I lived near several active air force bases: McClellan (now closed), Mather (now closed), Beale, and Travis.

Among the great planes I saw on a fairly regular basis in the skies near my home were the following:

B-52 Stratofortress (USAF)
C-5 Galaxy (USAF)
C-130 Hercules (USAF)
KC-135 Stratotanker (USAF)
WC-135 (USAF)
C-141 Starlifter (USAF)
F-4 Phantom II (USAF)
F-111 (USAF and RAAF)
FB-111 (USAF)
HH-3 "Jolly Green" (USAF)
HH-53 "Super Jolly Green" (USAF)
HC-130 Hercules (USAF and USCG)
HU-25 Guardian (USCG)
T-43 (Boeing 737-based navigator trainer--USAF)
T-37 "Tweet" (USAF)
T-38 Talon (USAF)
U-2 (USAF)
P-3 Orion (USN)
UH-1 Iroquois (US Army)
UH-60 Blackhawk (US Army)
CH-47 Chinook (US Army)
OH-58 Kiowa (US Army)

I din't seen many planes... The most sadly plane I saw in my life is the 737-200 PP-SMA :cry4: , the first 737 of Brazil that flown in VASP from 1969 to 2004, when the DAC (Civil Aviation Department, the old Brasilian aviation department {now is ANAC]) phibited the "SMA" of fly, due to the horrible conservation. VASP bankrupts in 2005 :rip: . Since 2004, PP-SMA is abandoned at my city airport, Tancredo Neves Int'l (SBCF/CNF). See the SMA before and after:

Spoiler

Well, let's stop crying (or :whip2: to me).

At the time, I saw the following planes:

737-200 (Vasp),-300 (Webjet, Puma air (both in CNF) and probbaly from other airlines in LIS, ORY and MIA),-700 (Gol/Varig, AA, Easyjet, etc...), -800 (Gol/Varig, AA, Transavia, etc...).
747 (Some airline i don't remember anymore, at ORY, and maybe a LH in GRU), 767 (AA, TAM, Gol/Varig, etc...), 777 (Alitalia) A319/320/321 (TAM, TAP, Lufthansa, Easyjet...), A330 (TAP, Air Caraïbes, TAM...), F-100 (Avianca Brasil) ATR42/72 (Trip (that's a regional brasilian airline)), E-175/190/195 (Trip, Azul), LET410 (maybe), Piper Navajo, Vans RV-10, etc...

Very, very little. My closest large airport is 110 miles (180km) away. (Ryanair, Aer Lingus, Aer Arann, various North American and Arabian airlines) As a result:

  1. Boeing 737
  2. Boeing 767 (maybe)
  3. Airbus A320-200
  4. Airbus A330-?
  5. ATR 72-200
  6. Sikorsky S-61 (SAR)
  7. BAe Avro
  8. Fokker 50

Mostly seen in Dublin Airport, London City, Cork
