UW A350

UW A350

NOR joined UnitedWings in 2004, and has since painted many of its aircraft in the standard UnitedWings special livery to commemorate this partnership that has allowed the airline to be connected with virtually every corner of the world. In 2020, the airline approached UnitedWings with the idea of painting one of their new A350 jets in an unique livery to celebrate the partnership in an even more striking fashion. The alliance was initially hesitant to approve of the idea, perhaps still left shaken from a certain "alliance special livery" from a certain German carrier. However, after much persuasion, they eventually agreed to let the design team at NOR to go wild. "It's Scandinavian," they said, "How crazy can it be?"

In 2021, LN-MEC "Katie" was revealed to the public alongside SE-MAP "Lucia", an A330-300 painted in a special livery celebrating the northern lights in Scandinavia. "Katie" is painted with a specially designed dark blue pearl paint, which makes the A350 sparkle under sunlight. Besides the usual UnitedWings alliance jet elements, "Katie" also features the word "Together" written in 10 different languages on the tail. Unlike its German counterpart, this unique UnitedWings special livery was well received by the public, and "Katie" was put in service on the Copenhagen-Tokyo route the next day, with "Lucia" taking off from Copenhagen to New York shortly after. The two strikingly-looking widebody quickly became cult favorites among planespotters in Asia, Europe, and North America alike.

Ja das ist a speziell UnitedWings plane. Nicht so gut as Himmelbahnflugzeug aber eine gute effort.

Despite the flagrant and INTENTIONAL choice to discriminate against the German language and its proud people, this livery is pretty good.

    heil tads

    Amazing !! :)

This is gorgeous, love the brand
